Once you’ve studied the “Which Pitch is Which?” download, a great way to practice those pitches is with Flashcards for Android Phones. (iPhones are more complicated and expensive – hopefully someday the cards will be available for them as well.)
Each clef starts with the picture cards including both songs and animation. Then a set of cards with colored notes, and finally cards with black notes. And the black notes can be studied in smaller groups of just 5 or 6 notes for concentrated study.
Students will have their pitches learned in no time!
To download the Flashcard app, you will probably have to go into the settings of your phone and click: apps and notifications, special app access, Install unknown apps. Then click “allowed” by the name of your browser. Your phone may have a different path, but what you want is to allow an app to be downloaded from the web rather than just the app store.
